Covaris
Covaris is a specialist engineering consulting company providing expert services to ATIVO in the area of maintenance and reliability engineering and shutdown planning methodologies. The company has been in operation for more than 10 years.
Maintenance experience covers customers such as RAN (frigate overhauls), Huntsman Chemicals (refinery shutdowns), BHP Billiton Iron Ore (port and mine shutdowns), BMA (drag line shutdowns and reliability), Worsley Alumina (heat exchanger overhauls), and various manufacturing companies (annual shutdown planning). Principals associated with Covaris also actively work in mining, manufacturing, utilities and Defence shutdowns, procurement, materials supply and other relevant work.
Relevant expertise within Covaris includes shutdown methodology, GSAP PM, maintenance planning, shutdown data analysis, Microsoft Project and P3/ P6 expertise, and detailed analysis of shutdown/ turnaround data including project consolidation, close out, and subsequent reliability of plant. As well as providing broad-based engineering services.
Covaris has an association with ATIVO extending back to 2001 and has worked together in major projects both in site establishment and reliability engineering support. An alliance agreement was established in 2007 confirming continuous support to all ATIVO sites including training and development of ATIVO personnel.
Inventory Management System
ATIVO utilises the IMS tool to create its inventory management system. This system is used to maintain its plants and equipments according to the maintenance regime and SKILLED Group OHS Standards. ATIVO manages our inventory (plant and equipment) in a timely manner, where it’s deployed with the Predictive Maintenance (PM) history. IMS is a robust system for “booking and tracking”. Its simplicity enables people from different level to use the system.
Automated Time Keeping
ATIVO utilise’s the DAMSTRA system on some sites for the collection and handling of time and attendance data for all labour employed. DAMSTRA systems is widely applied in heavy industries and used to accurately track costs and attendance/ induction records for all employees and for live data reporting.
