ATIVO Apprentice of the Year 2010 Announced!
Friday, May 21, 2010
ATIVO kicked off 2010 with the launch of their “ATIVO Apprentice of the Year” program. ATIVO launched the award as a formal way to give recognition to those employees who have excelled in their trade during the past year.
The first years entrants provided the judges with some tough decisions as all their applications were of an outstanding calibre. This year we were left with a tie with Alex Beckett from British American Tobacco (Australia) located at Pagewood and Pedro Plaisted from Kelloggs at Botany NSW, both fourth year electrical apprentices taking out the top position.
Through their learning and work performance, as well as their attitude to safety, extra-curricular activities and contribution to the community both Pedro and Alex were exceptional candidates and are valuable assets to the ATIVO crew.
ATIVO recognises that today’s apprentices and trainees are one of Australia’s most valuable resources. By providing apprenticeships and traineeships ATIVO is demonstrating a firm commitment to the future of Australia’s economy.

Pedro and Alex receive their certificates from ATIVO’s Executive General Manager Michael Olsen and Malcolm Roberts, ATIVO’s GM Maintenance Services and Facilities Management
