Successful Gas Compressor Installation

One of ATIVO's most exciting and successful projects is about to conclude. By the end of February the mechanical works required for the installation and tie-in of Jemena's new Longford gas compressor will be complete. Our scope of works was to fabricate and install all pipe spools required to connect a new compressor into Jemena's gas network. When commissioned this new connection will enable Jemena to supply 25% more gas to its NSW customer base. 

The ATIVO crew installed, aligned and connected this machine, one of the largest gas compressors in Australia within the prescribed project timeframe. As the Jemena-Longford site is a running gas plant, with three other gas compressors supplying most of NSW's gas, the job required an unprecedented attention to planning, quality and safety. Pleasingly ATIVO recorded no LIT's or MTI's on this project. During the course of installation the site management and installation team completed many critical lifts over running equipment and used innovative construction techniques to complete the installation of complex pipework and machinery without interfering with Jemena's running plant.
