Bayswater Power Station, Hunter Valley, NSW

In 2008 ATIVO carried out works at Bayswater Power Station on the Zero Liquid Discharge Plant Mechanical Installation. ATIVO were onsite performing the project works for HPD (Veolia Water) .

With a crew of 35 and office based onsite, the scope of works included:

Mechanical installation of;

  • Pumps, compressors & heat exchangers
  • Vessels (up to 70T)
  • Piping and ducts (up to Ø1.8m)
  • Structural Steel
  • Mechanical installation of Zero Liquid Discharge System

Installation of Vessels

  • Installation of vessels, equipment, pre-fabricated structural tower
  • Installation of over 1.2km of pressure welded piping (field welding, pipe fitting)
  • 100% non-destructive testing of field welds (using dye penetration, mag particle, radiography)

ATIVO achieved over 16000 man hours with no LTI’s. Due to continuing work in the Hunter Valley, soon after completion of this project, ATIVO launched their new Hunter Valley Workshop at Branxton NSW
